Web27 Jun 2010 · well I have a sherline mill and lathe, a taig lathe and a sieg 7*12 (and a few more :-\ ) the taig was first and is well built and very affordable the 7*12 is good for roughing larger parts out but without more work on the machine it's no good for repeatable work the sherline is in a class of its own, much more precise than I will be for a while.
