My bet is its the latch needs to be adjusted. I think when the trunk is closed there is more pressure possibly pushing up the trunk. the solenoid might not be strong enough to pop … WebTrunk is physically latched and won't budge, Reads as open in the center console. Manual release level popped off when I tried to pull it and the cable behind it has exactly zero give. This is something that'll probably require a service center visit (which I've already scheduled) but the problem I've got is I can't lock the car in the meantime.

The switch itself may have and be sending a signal but it's the pump, which is located in the trunk, that actually actuates the lock mechs by way of vacuum.
